APPROVAL OF THE SARASOTA GROWS GREEN ROOFS PROPOSAL TO THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY FOR ALL SARASOTA COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS
Description
COMPETITIVE: Grant funds of $86,752 will be used to provide training to science teachers at all Sarasota public schools on green roofs and their environmental benefits, as well as to purchase materials for a sample green roof module for each school for student-led, inquiry-based experiments.
Recommendation
That the School Board of Sarasota approve the Sarasota Grows Green Roofs proposal.
